What is Poured-in-Place rubber flooring?
Poured-in-place rubber surface, also known as polyurethane, is a versatile material preferred for constructing floors designated for various spaces, including playgrounds, sports areas, commercial, and industrial spaces. It consists of SBR and EPDM rubber granules, mixed with a binder and cast in a mold to obtain the final product.
Where can Poured-in-Place rubber flooring be used?
Due to its excellent properties, poured-in-place rubber surface is an outstanding choice for paving and covering frequently used spaces. Its applications include:
- Sports fields, gyms
- Industrial and commercial areas
- Children's play areas
- Recreation areas
- Animal husbandry, kennels, zoos, equestrian
Poured-in-place tartan can be used both outdoors and indoors (running/athletics tracks, tennis or multisport courts, or indoor play areas).
What are the benefits of Poured-in-Place rubber surface?
- Wear and Traffic Resistance: It's a durable material, resistant to wear and heavy traffic, suitable for frequently used surfaces like gyms or play areas.
- Low Density: With its low density, it optimally covers surfaces, offering a solid and comfortable base for physical activities.
- Temperature Resistance: It withstands extreme temperatures, including freezing and intense heat, suitable for paving exposed outdoor surfaces.
- Moisture and External Factors Resistance: The material is resistant to moisture, rain, snow, UV radiation, and direct sunlight, maintaining its appearance and properties over time.
- Anti-slip and Elastic Surface: It provides an anti-slip, elastic surface, offering a comfortable feel for walking and running.
- Environmentally Friendly: Made from sustainable raw materials, it doesn't contain harmful substances for the environment or the health of people and animals.
- Thermal and Sound Insulation: It can be used for thermal and sound insulation, adding to the thermal and sound comfort of paved spaces.
- Color Retention: Due to its manufacturing process, its color is long-lasting, even with frequent traffic, wear, and impacts.
What considerations should be made when pouring rubber surface?
The perfection of the infrastructure (concrete or asphalt), the quality of the EPDM, and the binder used should be the primary considerations.
How is Rubber Flooring Constructed?
After applying the primer layer, black SBR granules are mixed with a binder and applied with a finishing machine according to the project. Then, depending on the desired thickness, this mix is applied to the prepared surface and finished in various colors.
- It can be built in thicknesses between 13-65mm.
- Consists of 2 layers: SBR + PU + EPDM.
- Provides a comfortable and healthy ground structure.
- Prevents injuries due to its shock-absorbing capacity.
- Its abrasion resistance is high.
- Retains its colors for many years due to UV resistance.
- Ideal for very hot and very cold climates.
- It's water-permeable.
- Maintenance costs are low.
- Preferred in multifunctional fields, children's playgrounds, and walking paths.
